sensation in Misfortune
Schadenfreude is that that jolt of pleasure in bad things happening to those. Despite growing interest in emotions, organizational scholars have largely ignored the moral emotion of joy from misfortune of others. Schadenfreude: taking pleasure in the misfortunes of others—esp. Pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune. I cite this wonderful humanitarian testimony as I continue on from my last article about taking pleasure in the face of someone else's misfortune.
